ARTICLE 264:

The right of mining referred to in article 263 of this Law (LFD: Art. 263), must be paid semiannually in the months of January and July of each year.

The mining concessions and assignments granted during the semester will pay the proportional part of the right for the corresponding period, in the case of mining concessions from the date of its registration in the Public Mining Registry (Registro Público de Minería) and, in the case of mining assignments from the date of its publication in the Official Journal of the Federation (Diario Oficial de la Federación). For such purposes, the rights must be paid within thirty calendar days following those dates.
